Workshop Onygenales
Thursday 28 – Friday 29 June 2018
Price: 75 EUR
Location: RAI Congress Center
The workshop will take place in two different meeting rooms:
Thursday 28 June 2018: Meeting room Emerald room
Friday 29 June 2018: Meeting room D201
Dear Friends,
The ISHAM Working Group Dermatophytes has a slot for a pre-congress workshop in The Netherlands, 28 and 29 June 2018, just prior to the ISHAM Congress in Amsterdam. Since there are so many developments in the systemic relatives of Onygenales, we thought this would be a good opportunity to expand this to the entire order, thus covering the dermatophytes as well as the ‘classical’ systemic fungi – which are not very classical anymore. The workshop will cover important topics about epidemiology, diagnostics, taxonomy, systematics, population genetics, comparative phylogenomics, functional genomics and proteomics of those relevant fungal pathogens. We hope you like this idea. Below please find a tentative program. If you have any data to present, or if you have any other suggestions, please let us know.
The workshop will be held in the RAI Congress Center in Amsterdam, that is the same venue where the ISHAM Congress will start on 30 June. No individual support will be possible, but local facilities including lunches and dinners will be provided free of charge. Registration is compulsory; see the website. For speakers the registration fee of the workshop will be waived. Congress participation and fee is separate from workshop participation.
Abstracts are expected early 2018; you will be notified. A special issue of the journal Mycopathologia can be composed on the basis of a selection of papers in the workshop.
With kind regards,
Sybren de Hoog s.hoog@westerdijkinstitute.nl, Marcus Teixeira marcus.teixeira@gmail.com, Tom Chiller tnc3@cdc.go
